I have weird circumstances, could someone chance me?

Hey! So I'll post all the specifics below, but the rundown is that everything on my application is pretty good (2230 sat, hardest possible classes, really solid extracurricular activities, and good essays/ recs) aside from my GPA which is around a 3.65 unweighted. I am an African American male, and a first generation college student as well. I'm wondering what my chances might be like at Dartmouth ED. Please be candid, I'd rather know the truth.

Need to find out if I'm applying ed by tonight so my counsellor can finish my rec in time. Do I have any chance ED?

beef up your GPA to a 3.8. it should be a reach then

African American first generation with those stats?

You’re in. Apply ED.

I second what hopeful said.
if you need financial aid, don’t apply ED unless you’re sure Dartmouth will offer you the best possible package (ie. how are they with loans? Some other schools where you could get in would provide you a no-loans package if you’re middle class to low income. BTW “middle class” at Top LACs/universities is relative  )
With those stats and that resume, try applying to HYP too :).

Dartmouth ED: Reach (but it’s reachable)

Wow really impressive! You have an advantage because you’re Black (I am too), but you could most definitely get in! Just keep doing what you’re doing. SAT is perf and EC’s are extremely good so of course you have a very good chance. Would you chance me?

Dartmouth ED: I’d say low reach. First generation Minority always helps.
Chance back?
