Hi. Both myself and the other person at my school in Pinellas County, FL who have applied to Harvard have not yet been contacted by an admissions alum for an interview. I’ve been checking both my email and phone calls. We both applied early action and completed our application within three days of the Nov 1 deadline. We both have high GPAs, community service, and extracurricular and sport activities. Is it normal to wait this long for an interview? I’m starting to get worried because they announce early admissions mid-December. If someone could please help that would be great. If anyone is in mid- or south-Florida and have gotten an interview or are still waiting for one, would you mind telling me how it was arranged and which county you live in. Thank you.
@Pizzajona I also applied early and have not been contacted for an interview either. I am not on FL but in MA. I wonder if Harvard also received a record number of EA applications and can’t manage that many interviews. I doubt we will get one at this point as I believe that the Admissions Committee is already meeting.
its all about availability. if you dont get one, you will not be negatively impacted. if you do get one, you will not be positively impacted unless your interview is one in a million. the full admissions committee is starting meetings on monday. good luck.
