I plan on doing my placements on Sunday/Monday. Ideally I’d be placed into Calculus I or Honors Calculus I and just an average level English class, is it already too late to get into any of those?
Also, will I still be able to get decent housing? I’ve been thinking about Orchard Hill but I’m worried that I won’t have many options since I’m doing it so late.
You’re lucky that you’re a freshman or otherwise you’d be screwed. When it comes to classes such as Calc I and College Writing, there are a ton of sections so you’ll definitely be able to take them. Whether you’ll be with good teachers/ good times is a whole other story. But nonetheless, you’ll get something.
In terms of housing, you have until the middle of July to fill out the form. You’ll be notified on the first of August on your housing. Behind the scenes you’ll be assigned a lottery number and based on your lottery number you’ll get assigned housing based on availability and preference. If you want OHill, you will most likely get housing there.
It’s not too late to be handling this stuff but don’t do this for future semesters. It can be costly.
