I haven't found a college I like yet

Holy Cross very good liberal arts school near Boston has very good physics department.

Does Holy Cross have a good physics department? I’ve heard of that school, and I think it fits me fairly well. I was under the impression that they weren’t too strong in that field. I know they have strong biology and premed, but why do you say they have strong physics? They might have a good introductory course or two for premeds, but does it end there?

Hm, I’m not too sure about physics either (I’m bio/premed), but I think the science departments in general are pretty good here. If you want, here’s a link about the HC physics department. If you’re interested in engineering, they have a 3-2 engineering program apparently where students spend 3 years here and 2 years at Columbia University.

Oh yeah, Holy Cross doesn’t have a Greek system here by the way. However, I’d say a good amount of people party here so there’s definitely a social scene. Saturday nights are busy party days. People either go off campus to Caro Street, party at the senior apartments, dorms or go to the baseball/soccer/football/etc. houses. But there’s also some people who don’t party so no worries! I feel like HC fits the bill of your description. It’s acceptance rate is less than 35%, <3000 undergrad students, and located in the northeast (MA).

Thanks a lot, I’ll look into it. Seems like a place I might like.

OP, you’ll see from the Bates Common Data Set (Homepage Images | Bates College, Section C7) that standardized tests are only considered. ECs, interview, recs, GPA, class rigor, class rank, essay and applicant interest are all very important (two categories higher).

Bump.
