I haven't gotten the Meningitis or Tuberculosis shots, just filled out my online form

Because we had to submit the health forms but July 1. So I left those two fields blank and it saved and said that I had completed the form and everything.

Will this "result in denial of student registration privileges?" We're leaving for a week trip right now and my mom is really stressed and mad at me so I don't want to tell her right now that I need these two shots, but can I call Penn Student Health Services when I get back (after July 1) and let them know that I'm getting those two before school starts?

Gah is this even cause for concern? Like do a lot of people get immunizations after July 1?

Gracias

just call them…the health office is the only place where you can get a definitive answer

I’m not sure if you need TB if you’re from the US. Get Meningitis tho. We had an outbreak in Febuary.

TB and Meningitis are actually the most stressed shots now. Meningitis apparently is recommended when you go live in dorms (according to my doctor). And TB is just one of those other common shots like the chickenpox. I was wondering don’t you do a yearly check up? I recommend you to get them as soon as possible actually.

However I agree with bat, call the health office and tell them your situation.

I was late turning in my forms too. Their website states they are still accepting the forms. For me, I still have to fulfill the Hep B requirement. I got my 2nd dose but can’t have the 3rd one for two more months. All you have to do is schedule an appointment for the shots, obtain a letter from your Dr. that says you are scheduled to have them on such-and-such date, and fax it to SHS. Then, when you actually go for the shots, you will have to fax proof of that over as well. But as long as you have something on file stating that you are scheduled to have them, you should be okay.

Endure - thanks. I talked with my mom and apparently I have already gotten them, and my doctors just didn’t fill out the forms correctly or something, so I just have to fax more things over. But it’s comforting to hear that someone else is still submitting, and that they are still accepting.

I called them a while ago telling them I wouldn’t be able to get things in right for the deadline. They said there’s a grace period and not to worry about it.
