You know what, actually no, because the top Indian colleges, the IITs, are so competitive that students take special coaching for two years to apear in the exam, out of 1.2 million students, only 6000 are selected. The course is very different from that of schools.
As a matter of fact, i have a friend who did not get into any of the IITs, so he appeared for the SATs and scored about 2320. He is studying computer engg from CMU right now.

@indmaverick I’m a student in India, applying for Fall 2012 as well. Some schools do offer AP courses along with the normal board curriculum as well(mine does). And in most cities, there are a few AP testing centers where you can go and give the exam with self study. So a portion of Indian applicants do have AP scores in their apps.

Tastycles, i have received an e-mail today clearly stating that AP courses are being offered from the current academic year in select cities. But i do not think this is the appropriate forum to discuss all that. What is important is that there is a second wave of decisions coming between 14th and 18th, tentatively.

AHHHH haha

Are decisions always sent out on a Friday?

it seems to be a trend this year. Last year it was thursday, but they seem to be following the same dates.

Yes but leap year and other factors don’t really make a day the best way to think about things …

I haven’t gotten a decision yet either =(
Hopefully I’ll hear something soon…
Brandeis is posting decisions on the 15th…
Now I’m starting to get nervous…

Has anyone else not heard anything? I haven’t received an acceptance, deny, or deferral. I’m getting pretty anxious!

@ashleyz Same here. But I have heard that today onwards a new wave of decisions is coming through. So stay positive and hope for the best.

who did you hear that from @indmaverick?

I’ve a feeling most decisions are only going to come out early April, or at best, late March.

I was told by the admissions office that there WILL BE a round in late march and the rest in april. now i do not know what “late march” is but that is what they said.

@indmaverick I’m glad I’m not the only one completely in the dark! I wish you the best of luck, please let me know when you find out, I will do the same for you :)

Hi all. My daughter got her decision (accepted) about an hour ago. It appeared on wolverine access. She did not get an email. Looks like decisions are dribbling out. she applied to LSA and we are out of state (California). Good luck everyone!

same here,

I checked the wolverine access and I was accepted, I didn’t get the email yet

go blue! go wolverines!

I think I was a day off. Congrats, you guys! Wish WA was up so I could check mine xD

Had an exam today, guess i will have to wait till the evening, yet, congratulations to all…!!

Ahhhh I just checked WA with an absolutely racing heart and yet, still nothing LOL
This wait is making me so anxious!! Seeing that some people did receive a decision today, I’m guessing it all starts from now?

I went on WA finally however I discovered that UM thinks I live out of state and I do not. Oh, boy.
