Hey everyone, on my UC app I indicated that I wouldn't be taking any classes for the upcoming Spring. I was planning on working full time but it seems like taking an extra class wouldn't hurt. So in the Jan update, can I just simply add the class I plan on taking in the Spring? I mean I even indicated on my educational gap that I would be not taking any classes for the Spring. Can I just edit that out and say I still plan on taking an extra class? Is it as simple as that?

Thanks for replying Stephen. Are we able to edit things other than grades? like the section on educational gap? I don’t wanna look like an idiot by stating I wouldn’t be taking any classes when I’ll be adding a class…

wow I’m going through the same issue as well. They couldn’t possibly rescind us for adding a class even though we initially stated we will not be taking any classes for Spring can they? I already have my 60+ units and IGETC completed. But like Ryan, I also explained in the Gap of Education section, that I would plan on working full time. So in the Jan. update can I just add classes I wanna take and scrap the comments about not taking any classes for the Spring in the comments section? Are we even allowed to do that? Would I have to call and have them delete it?

I mean what would happen if we add classes for Spring if we stated in the Gap of Education section that we wouldn’t be taking any classes? This seems like an odd situation to be honest. Can anyone clarify what we need to do?

I would take a gap quarter during spring and go back to my home country (I am international student). I will have all my pre-req and IGETC complete after winter.

I am wondering if this would affect my chance of admission?

kan you’re fine. it wouldn’t affect your chances. On the other hand, I’ve decided I wanna take spring so it’s like going back n forth. but yeah if anyone could help us out, i really would appreciate it.

I don’t see what difference it makes. Just as I couldn’t be sure I’d get into the courses I was planning to take – and indeed, I only made it into one or two of them – you couldn’t be sure which way life would lead you.
