<p>i think it has to do with their ecs and essays</p>
<p>40% = ~6k ppl
100% (admit rate) = they admit around 15k ppl</p>

moderate ECs
Mannn this was my last UC I was waiting for, got either waitlisted(SB,I) or rejected(SD,LA) to all that I applied to. I didnt realize how competitive it was until,well, now. :(</p>

I didn’t realize that people weren’t just exaggerating until the decisions/everyone’s stats came out </p>
<p>Maybe the ucs are trying to admit more qualified students to justify their new outrageous cost?</p>

<p>But thats alright, I have waited this long to find out my admission… what is another month or two? I also got waitlisted at SB and D, and rejected from UCLA and SD. I have so many backups too, though. So if it comes down to it, I will have to take a pick and hope that I am happy.</p>

<p>Oh well, looks like I will be going to UC Davis next year. UC Davis is still a great school though.</p>
