I just got my housing offer! A couple questions...

Where Do U Check Your Housing Offer?

they send you an email

^You should have received an e-mail telling you that they have an offer for you. But if you don't know what to do after that, look below.
Then click "View, Print, or Make an Initial Payment for Your Housing Offer"

OHH THx...sproul hall...looks like ill see u Duckedtape xD

ill see you laserbase
:D

lmao triple in dykstra hall.

and im a regents scholar toooo! theyre supposed to give regents scholars what they want =( (i wanted a double res hall)...

I'm in a triple in Hedrick hall... should I be glad or sad?

What is the difference between Hedrick and Hedrick Summit as far as distance goes? My son asked for a Res hall for the social aspects and hall bathrooms, but received a triple/shared in Hedrick Summit. How bad is it to share a bathroom with 5 other people? I can't imagine it! :(

I don't know, jiceo1, that's what I'm trying to figure out!

But I guess I'll be seeing a few of you guys next year in Hedrick. It isn't THAT far, right? Like how long to walk to the main campus?

imo the walking distance at ucla isnt that bad at all. kids at berkeley have to walk way farther (a lot of their dorms are off campus). my bro lost so much weight because he had to walk miles a day at berkeley.

^^when i went to UCLA on a college trip i didn't see any fat people

yeah, I don't mind the walking... that's more time to talk with a friend while on your way to a class =)

<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-california-los-angeles/341377-read-before-starting-new-housing-thread.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-california-los-angeles/341377-read-before-starting-new-housing-thread.html</a></p>

Grasspuppet: most of us asking these questions have already read the housing thread which by the way has a lot of wonderful information. It does not however, tell you about any personal experiences you have/had about walking from Hedrick to campus or how bad it is to share a bathroom with 6 people, so on and so on...It's nice to hear the personal opinions of the students. Thanks everyone! :)

I got a double at Sproul Hall, which is a good deal for me since Sproul is newer and I only get one roommate :] I had to apply to be part of a community in order to guarantee myself Sproul though.

I think because it's closer, its easier to gain the freshman 15...

how do you check?? ughhh. i click the link, but what next?
I clicked here: <a href="https://access.housing.ucla.edu/welcome.php%5B/url%5D">https://access.housing.ucla.edu/welcome.php</a></p>

but it shows shows my account info...?

for the OP: Rieber hall is closed for next year that is why you didn't get it :)
I guess I would be seeing laserbase and duckedtape in sproul :) I can't believe some of you guys got doubles in res hall, im going to be a second year and we couldn't even get a double in the hall, we had to settle for triple (but kinda because all the doubles in halls left were the ones on lower floors like the bottom 3... we want Penthouse Sproul 7!)

What do you guys think of Dykstra hall? I got that in a triple. Are all the halls pretty much all the same?

dykstra is oldest but the closest to campus :) I like the fact its got room doors facing each other but its a bit lame that you have to go through de neve to get into dykstra...

So I just got the email:
"We are pleased to extend to you a Housing Offer for a space on-campus for the 2008-2009 academic year"

but NO offer. I clicked the link: UCLA Housing - MyHousing
and still don't see any offers.

btw when I click "view, pay housing offer" or whatever, it just gives me information/facts.
