I just got my report card..... HELP!!!

I currently have all F's and Im a junior. I did well in my freshmen year and it went down hill. I currently hold a GPA of 2.9 and I didnt take my SAT yet. Is there no hope for me?

Some advice and tips would be nice.

I usually dont do this bad. Im not a aim high go to a Harvard type student. I want to get into a decent University and I dont mind taking a Community college for 2years to reach that goal. I think for the reason I have 5 F's this year is because I havent been coming to school because I tend to get lazy. I want to change though, I know Im not a bad person or a student. I got straight A's in my freshmen year and a average grade as a Sophmore. This is my first time ever to get straight F's. Im getting scared that the colleges wont want me because of my poor sophmore and junior grades.

Got to a coummunity college and transfer to a 4-year university.

Yeah, go with Bill's idea.

How good was freshmen year and how bad was sophomore year?

0.0 gpa in your most important year isn't THAT bad

I bet this person is fake.

im serious. Im very dissapointed. So what graded point avg. do I need from CC to get transfered to a decent University? Im thinking of going to Glendale C.C. in CA. What 4yr university Can I get into?

You can go from Community College to Harvard if you work hard enough.

you are going to have to repeat this year... since you have to take it over again make the most of it. The problem i see is that there was no reason your grades slipped you where just lazy. Just take the year over again and try not to get lazy.

thanks u guys that brought up my moral.

Eh...why bother with the rest of high school with a GPA that's just going to bring you down? If I were you, I'd strongly consider getting a GED instead of attending more of high school where surely your prior apathy will eventually return.

but I can take summer school I have enough Credits and I can take english math and science over summer.

um are the 5 F's your entire year grade?

if so, how did you find out NOW (as opposed to when report cards are given out every 9-weeks/semester)

if you got an F in one 9 weeks in 5 classes, you should be able to bring them up to at least C's by the end of the year.......

I'm confused on how you found out what your grades were, THIS close to the end of the year, for the FIRST time.

Unless you had F's before but just didn't give a damn; in that case, serve you right. Most people, when they realize they got an F one 9 weeks, haul ass to try and bring it up to ATLEAST a D.

But if you're serious somehow, re-take junior year, try and see if your school will let you act like you just didn't take school for a year so it doesn't negatively harm your GPA.

idk how you screw up this much and still come to this site, but whatever. just do what you can now to bring it up or re-take the grade.

It's really never too late to turn everything around. My younger sister was in your predicament and had to complete a year of community college in order to transfer to a state U. She is now a straight A college student, so its never too late. At least you realize you want to improve, and you care enough to straighten up. Good luck, you can do it beyond a doubt!!

thanks people.
