Ok, this section is pretty amusing...and hey, I've got nothing to loose by letting a few people nitpick me. Don't think my resume is impressive so feel free to fire away.
Asian
UC: 3.3
unweighted:3.1667(Chemistry freshmen year and Spanish 3 did not help)
weighted: 3.2778
(class rank depends on what GPA we are looking at)
SAT's
Math 610
Writing 620(improvement over previous SAT's inthe 500's)

ACT
Composite 30

SATII
Eco. Biology 800
Lit. 650(may retake this due to taking AP Lit this year)

Senior courses(of interest)
Gov, A.P Environmental science, Zoology, AP Stats, AP lit

Extracurricular(of interest): Environmental club+volunteer hours associated, volunteer work at hospital, Varsity Track(not much of a chance of this going anywhere).

I have looked at a few out of state things but for now am mainly looking at CSU/UC schools. Of course these run a gamut of admission % but a general idea(say, middle UC schools) would be most interesting. An unfortunate thing is that the UC/CSU school tend to have a very high proportion of Asians.

Hope I included everything. I am aiming towards biology(perhaps aquatic biology)but am unsure of what schools provide a good program, esp. in state. But that is another topic.

Chance me!

Oh AP Tests would be AP Bio and AP Comp, both 5's

Would a more precise school list help?

Yes. I know the UC's pretty well. I'm assuming you're in state?

I am in State.

The following seem to be possibilities and probably fall in the same category. I'm not sure what % chance of admission classifies schools into reach, match, or safety
UC Santa Cruz

UC Riverside

UC Merced

UC Santa Barbara

My SAT I scores seem about average for these schools, but the GPA is a bit on the low side.

For schools I am seriously considering applying to should I shoot up or down from these mainly? In other words, am I being too ambitious...or too conservative?

I stumbled on Florida Institute of Tech and while I doubt I would be able to go there due to other reasons it'd be interesting to throw it in too.

I think that my coursework/scores reflects at least somewhat on my interest in bio and I see that as a strong point.

No thoughts at all?

Giving it a bump to da top. C'mon guys!

i find your stats very..interesting lol

cus your academics fluctuate so greatly

your horrible sat score vs. your decent ACT score
your horrible gpa vs. your high AP scores
your lit score vs. your bio score

so i really cannot chance you, even if i wanted to

Actually on the ACT my highest score is a 31. I like the ACT much better, since it has a science section.

I do agree on the weird stats. The low GPA is mainly due to Freshman year and non AP classes. I did fine in both AP's I took last year(Comp, Bio, B's and an A) but did horrible in Spanish.

No ideas? For UC's generally it seems with my GPA you have anything from a 0-25%-80% chance of getting into a UC, depending on how competitive it is.
