I recently looked over my college ap that I submitted two days ago and found several grammatical errors and even an incomplete sentence that I hadn’t deleted. It was only a short answer to explain my intent for a specific major, but I am still incredibly concerned. How screwed am I? I pride myself in my English grammar and spelling and made several mistakes in my application, which will not show well with the admissions officers.
Ideally you would’ve read over your essays and found these errors before you submitted them, but it’s too late now. Relax, stop thinking about it, and stop reading applications that you already submitted and that you can’t change!!! It will only stress you out.
No one can tell you these mistakes will hurt your admissions chances. I’m sure it depends on the reader.
But please, going forward, especially for things of importance, take the time to proof read at least a few times to ensure this type of thing doesn’t happen. Not trying to give you a lecture. Just letting you know that in the workplace, it would truly effect how others perceive you which would impact your career. That’s just the truth. Grow from this and all will be fine.
