I just paid my tuition deposit...

I just paid the $200 non-refundable tuition deposit about an hour ago, but it on my status, it says I've given them my intention of enrolling but they haven't received my deposit. I have the receipt number and everything in my email.

Does it usually take awhile to update the status when a payment is made?

Yes. Please, give them for than a single hour to get everything in order. Credit card companies rarely even verify a purchase that quickly.

Where exactly do you go to pay for the deposit?

UF's web site is terrible. Lots of time stuff doesn't show up for days. It's very frustrating. Welcome to the Gator Nation!

:)

Seriously, congratulations, and since you have until May to pay that deposit, you can check back in a few days and you'll see it there.

To pay the deposit, I looked under "Admitted Students" and followed the link to log in to my GatorLink account and pay the deposit. It asks you to confirm your personal info, then your intent on attending UF, then to pay the deposit or logout and pay later.

When I went to check my status again, it said it has confirmed that I plan on attending UF but hasn't received my payment. I guess I'll check back in a few days and if it doesn't work, give a call to Admissions.

And thanks, mom2three!

Mine says the same thing and I just paid my deposit. I guess we'll just wait a few days and see what happens.

If you check on Welcome to myUFL, it lists the payment in the My Campus Finances section.

Fantastic! Nice sleuth work, Hockey07. That site is such a PITA to navigate. lol

Thanks for writing about how to get to that page - I was able to decline the offer of admission online instead of waiting to call the office on Tuesday. So...there's at least one more spot available, good luck! :)
