I just realized a grammar mistake I have been making in my essays... Do you think it is noticeable?

Will it affect my chances? “As a child, the theatre was a place”. The error is that the “as a child” refers to the theatre. It should have been something like “As a child, I etc.” Do you think it is a big mistake, and how much will it hurt my chances in big schools? fml…

How often are you doing this in your essay?
If it is once, readers will dismiss it as stress and stuff. So not much unless you get really unlucky with grammar nazis
If you’re making this error in every paragraph, then yes it’ll hurt your chances a lot.

this “type” of mistake, i only make like once in each school
so basically once is all a school would see it

Don’t sweat it. It’s not like they’re analyzing your essay with a fine-tooth comb or anything. If you missed it upon reading it and even typing it out, then there’s a good chance they may miss it too. It’s not even too big of a mistake, either; it’s one of the more common ones because of how easily glossed over it is.
