I just received an e-mail. What is this?

^They do not send out invitations to international students,or atleast that is what they say on their forums.
Anways, did all internationals get that email?
Also, will we get the final decision on April 1 or sometime before it is also possible?

^^I dont believe so. Only some internationals got it. As with the invitations for the local students I would imagine getting it is a good sign but not getting it doesnt mean you're rejected.

Logically if someone is asking you to talk to the professor of the department you've most likely been given admission.

And to add to that I have the acceptance letter in my hand so I really dont care if it was a likely or not!! Yay!

I also get the admission package and it has been confirmed to be a likely letter

jealous

When did you get your acceptance?

:(

I got the email, followed by an acceptance packet (and $10k CAS scholarship offer) a few days later. I am guessing they sent emails based on location and/or scholarship status.

Ohhh I got this and I was accepted.

I definitely think it's only for accepted students: " I invite you to be in touch with me, as you consider your options over the next few weeks, if you have questions about your academic plans. " Why else would anyone have questions for NYU about their academic plans if they didn't plan on attending.

I didn't got that email, but I got in NYU.

I'm saying IF you get the email THEN you are probably accepted. Not the other way around.
