<p>XF = Failure of course due to academic dishonesty</p>
<p>Am I screwed when it comes to finding a job? The XF grade will be seen on my transcript. </p>

<p>Yeah, that is really bad. There’s nothing worse than getting an XF. You should have just failed and retook that class. Even that’s not as bad as getting an XF. </p>
<p>How did it happen? What did you exactly do? Maybe there’s some way you can explain it to employers.</p>
<p>That’s horrible. I never even heard of that. I guess it’s a question of integrity. You should have failed or dropped the class. Now everyone knows you’re a lying cheat (That’s the impression they’ll get from your transcript).</p>
<p>Tortfeasor–I know absolutely nothing about this situation, but at the college where I teach, a student could not drop the class after being accused of academic dishonesty. And the student who is accused does not know he/she is being accused until after it happens. Though a student (if he/she did cheat) would certainly know it. To Op, I am not making a judgment, simply a response to post #3.</p>
<p>At some point you know you’re not getting the grade you want. Isn’t that why people cheat? At that time it’s the time to drop or withdraw failing. </p>
<p>The second part is screwy but that’s your schools procedure. So be it. If your school gets public finding I’m willing to bet there’s a 5th Amendment violation in there somewhere.</p>

<p>You may want to talk to an on-campus career counselor, too. I would guess that employers in your intended profession might be especially sensitive to this type of issue.</p>

<p>More and more employers ask for verification of degrees and that is through requesting a transcript.</p>

<p>Is it possible to apply for full time jobs during the summer immediately after graduation? Any chance you start working in the fall if you do get hired?</p>
