I JUST Sent my SAT Scores

I just sent my SAT scores to my schools. I heard that scores take about four weeks to send, even though the deadline is January 1st (in a little over one week). Will this affect my chances?

Also, my counselor is not answering my calls, and he may not even send my school forms by the deadline. Will colleges even consider me at this point?

IF you took the December SAT/ACT, as long as the school is one of the recipients, it doesn’t matter. However, if you send the scores after the December scores get out, there’s no guarantee that the school will get them.

Most colleges will not penalize you if your SAT scores are a few days late. I don’t think they would if your school forms come in late, but you should really bug the people in your office because this is somewhat in your control.

Yeah, this year College Board has been especially horrible about sending scores… even ones that are sent “rush.” A few of my orders got screwed up, so I had to send them twice. So far, my colleges have been totally cool about it. Again, CB = major fail this year with sending scores, so they might just assume its apart of the CB glitches if they don’t get it in time.
