i JUST submitted my app

ok so i just submitted my app
and i realize im super late seeing as the deadline is like 10 days away.
so i was just wondering if submitting my app so late means i have a low chance of getting into the school, or if it's just a low chance of getting into the major i want. if anyone can clear things up that'd be great.

and also, i'll post my stats just to help things out

white male from OOS
3 time legacy (grandpa and dad both went)
GPA: 4.0 UW, 4.7 W
ranked 4th out of 521 from a competitive public high school
34 ACT, 2200 SAT
760 math II, 720 us hist, 710 chem
5s on AP chem, bc calc, spanish language, psych, world history, us history

varsity track and cross country
work year round ~15 hours per week
officer in science club
ASB commissioner of clubs and activities, in charge of all clubs and their activities at my school

rec letters are pretty much amazing because my counselor/teacher loved me
essays equally as good, except for maybe the preferred admit to ross essay

i think that's about it

I’m pretty sure nobody has a major yet, it might depend on the school, but I know for a fact that in CoE nobody has a major til sophomore year, b/c of GPA requirements. As for when you apply, the only difference is early vs. regular as far as I know, and by your stats+legacy, I’d say you’re in.

Nice s h o t .

thank you lightja. i had pretty much a near panic attack lol. i just hope i get into michigan, i don’t really want to go anywhere else tbh

well, here were my stats, and I got accepted into CoE (mind you, on early decision)

White Male OOS (Kentucky)
ACT: 28 (35 math, 26 science)
GPA: 3.91 UW
NHS, French Club, Science Club, no leadership positions
Top 10%, Magna Cum Laude, Commonwealth Diploma
No SAT, No SAT IIs, No legacy
4 on AP Language, 5 on AP Stats, taking BC Calc, Ap Comp Sci, AP French, AP Psych, AP Lit senior year

so yeah you pretty much beat me all around and I was accepted, so I wouldn’t fret too much, obviously they accept people that apply late, or else they wouldn’t accept the applications, and I’d say you’re at the tip top of that list of those late applicants with your stats.

PS: Michigan weighs GPA VERY heavily, so your 4.0 alone makes you a great candidate.

You probably don’t have anything to worry about. But why did you apply so late?

umm, i dont think you will be considered if it is after the final deadline

I think you’re still a match. I applied on the last day(feb1) last year, and got in with slightly lower stats. Don’t worry about it. You definitely have a chance.
