I just Submitted my FAFSA Application but they didn't calculate EFC !

<p>Hello , i Just Submitted my fafsa but on the EFC Part they said</p>

<p>"You verified that either you paid the same amount or more in taxes than your Adjusted Gross Income (AGI), or your parents paid the same amount or more in taxes than their Adjusted Gross Income (AGI). Therefore, we cannot calculate an estimated Expected Family Contribution (EFC). You must contact your Financial Aid Administrator (FAA). "</p>

<p>i know i did something wrong -_-' but i can't make corrections to see what i did wrong ... i go home page and click "make corrections" but after i login it takes me to main page of the application </p>

<p>"Current Application Status: Processing
Your application was submitted and is being processed. This usually takes up to three business days from the date submitted, so check back later. Once your application is processed, the colleges you entered will have access to your information and their financial aid offices will determine your student aid eligibility." </p>

<p>how can i make changes?! and would that mistake affect my financial aid?

<p>You can make changes in 2-3 days. You’ll get an email.
Apparently you told them that your parents pay more in taxes than they earn or something (100%+ tax rate) which doesn’t make any sense.</p>

<p>I think right now they have a less than 24 hour turnaround on the FAFSA so you should get an email sometime tomorrow and then be able to fix it.</p>

<p>Remember, taxes paid is NOT the total taxes on the W-2. Taxes paid is line 55 on the 1040. This is the amount actually paid, which sometimes is more than the federal taxes on the 1040 (if you pay at tax time) or less than the federal taxes on the 1040 (if you get a refund at tax time).</p>
