I keep getting an advice that I don't agree with...help me out!

Hey guys,
I'm really desperate in writing my common app essay cuz I'm applying early, and I decided to apply early just last weekend....
I actually finished the essay over the summer, but now, I don't like it anymore, and I think I made a big mistake by writing about a mundane topic...

So, I've been trying to make revisions/start new topic but my SAT tutor, who revised my common app essay before, suggested that I should be more straightforward in my essay.

She thinks that I don't get the message across.
But, I wanted my essay to be somewhat creative, and throughout the essay somehow portray what kind of person I am...isn't that what the common app is suppose to be like?

I feel like her revisions are ignoring my style of writing, which is very descriptive and more novel-like, and I feel like her revisions are more like "tell" not "show"....

I'm really confused...
I'm not sure if I'm right or if she's right....
can someone help me please?
perhaps read over my essay and give me comments on it?

I’ll take a look. My essay sounds similar to what you’re describing, I left it somewhat in abstraction…

I’ve been telling all my friends that their essays are “tell” not “show” - I could give a second opinion as well. PM me if you need any help/critique.
