I have been getting it too-was just about to try posting about it when I saw this thread.
Me, too, but not this hour, just earlier today, though eventually I got in each time.
Oh, dear, what are we going to do if the forum croaks? I guess I will finally clean the house… 
Same issue here, same error message at random times. I did come across a VERY nasty post to one thread when I first checked in this morning which looked full of links to equally nasty sites. ICKY ICKY! I think it had just been posted, just my lucky timing. Quickly went away, but I do wonder if that started some problems? First time I’ve ever experienced such a thing on cc, thank goodness.

I noticed the same thing as vulture3, one post had a long list of links to what seemed to be very nasty porn sites. I am thinking this is what is causing the breakdown today. Wonder if other threads had similar problems and everything is being sanitized now. It is so sad that someone would corrupt this wonderful resource in this way…

Still getting the error message. Refreshing the page was working before but not anymore. Only thing that seems to be working right now are repeated attempts, but who wants to do that? Hope they’re working on it!

PLEASE! My PMs are full. Every time I try to delete a PM I get the “fatal error” msg. The PM is gone, but my Pms are still showing as full. Can you FIX this???

Sorry, I have no idea of what the problem is but am hopeful that it will be resolved by our tech team before too long.

I saw one of those posts a few weeks ago, and reported it.
Remember the Christmas movie where the girl says, “everytime you hear a bell ring, an angel gets his wings”? OK, hear me out…
There’s a virus embedded in that porn link. Everytime someone clicks on the link, he gets infected. When he returns to CC, he brings the virus back, and it causes a temporary glitch in the system. That’s why it’s intermittent. The error messages reflect the pings of other posters who have been infected. Everytime one of them posts on CC, it causes a momentary breakdown, and all other CCers get an error message.
Kind of makes you wonder about some of the other people around here, doesn’t it?
I’ve seen those porn link two or three times over the last year - they always get removed pretty promptly. I doubt that’s the problem.
doubleplay is that true? Is there any danger just coming here? Should we be avoiding ALL links?
