I know i NEED to transfer but...

Hi everyone, I'm a freshman at Walsh university in ohio. i really like it here because its small and i've made some good close friends here.

In HS, I didn't do very good. Only had a 2.7 gpa and a 24 ACT. Didn't have a whole lotta choices in terms of colleges.

My problem is that i now know that i want to go into engineering. Math and Physics have always been my strenghts. (30 on Math section of ACT). But Walsh has NO enginerering or physics and math is very weak here. I know that eventually need to transfer.

Now, I'm probablly gonna have around a 3.4 gpa after first semester. I'm def staying here for the rest of the year.

My Question: Should I transfer after one year or what? i guess i could stay here (and i do like it here) for 2 yrs. and get basic requirements out of the way or something or could i maybe do a BS in Math and then go to grad school for engineering? idk...

Idk what to do any advice? because this place is very nice and peole care about me here. Its just i have to transfer to do whatsb best for me...

Advice?

If you really like it that much at your current school, I would say stay and go to grad school for engineering. You never know if you'll change your mind about your career plans, and it would be really hard to reestablish yourself somewhere else socially. I feel like the weak math program at your school could hurt you though if you decide to stay. This is just my uninformed opinion, I could be wrong, but you could have a chance to get into an Engineering grad program and not be prepared when you get there. Either decision is slightly risky, IMO.
