I’m doing terrible my first semester of my Sophomore year. The semester is over in less than two weeks, and my GPA is horrible. This semester, I have a 2.8 Unweighted, and 3.2 Weighted GPA. I don’t know how much this will affect my collage choice, but this semester is just a total train wreck for me… I did much better in my freshman year with a 3.8 and 4.0 unweighted. I want to go to a UC school (UC Berkeley Preferrably), but my dream school Is Stanford.

I know all the info Im just giving are my grades, but I would like to know if I can still get a chance to pull myself together.
Also, sorry if this is in the wrong place. I’m kinda new here

It’s okay! For now, try to maintain at least a B grade or above in all your classes. Then next semestter, try your hardest hardest to get A’s. As long as you show improvement, colleges like it. And maybe explain that it was a tough semester. Colleges don;t really mind if you have a tough semester for whatever reason and then jump right back up to a 4.0 student. best wishes
