In response to the language question, you do not need to take a language if you took 2 or more years of one single language in hs.

What exactly do you want?

transfer to a UC
and i think the credit limitation is like 70 credits right?
so if i have more than 70 credits then they wont consider my application?

info here represents the policy of all UC’s

Do a search if you don’t know anything because we can’t illuminate your life. That’s your job.

To answer your specific question… if you attend a California community college, there is no limit to the units that you can complete. The 70-unit limit is referring to the maximum amount of units that will transfer to the school you end up going to.

This is difficult for some people on this forum to understand, so I’ll give you some examples:

Bob has 120 units completed from a CCC. He ends up going to UCLA. When he enrolls, he only has 70 UCLA units that count towards graduation.

Jack has 89547783 units completed from a CCC. He ends up going to UCSB. When he enrolls, he only has 70 UCSB units that count towards graduation.

Bill has 60 units completed from a CCC. He ends up going to UCSD. When he enrolls, he only has 60 UCSD units that count towards graduation.

…hope that helped.

You need to explore the majors at the UCs because Theatre Directing is not a major the UCs offer.

i think ucla offers theatre directing
saw it on their site

thanks grey
now i understand

sry…
i never talked 2 my counsellor

No, there is no such major for undergraduate students.

That is a graduate program.

There is UC Transfer FAQ that you can refer to at the top of all these posts. The completion of IGETC also depends on your major, so if you’re engineering, you focus on your major courses first. Check everything first with the UC Transfer FAQ, then websites available from the UC by searching up UC Transfer Admission, and asking any other questions with either your counselor or with another post.
