i can get a letter of recommendation from my city mayor for the colleges that will accept it because i've had meetings with her about orchestra issues

I can fluently speak Korean, which isnt much ... cause i am Korean. HAHAH

i doubt i have a very high chance, since i dont do sports and my sat reasoning score is not way up there... plus im not on ASB or anything... but i still want to grab on to any small hope there is.

Thanks! :]

...

Typical CCer, augh/lol.

You have as good of a chance as anybody.

Anything over 700 is good enough for SATs, especially in light of your overall score, and your musical involvement is worth as much as a sport.

Feel better now? :P

:) yeah i feel better

except im jw, when you mean by CC do you mean College Confidential-er or Columbia College-er O_O??

thanks anyway!

edit:

forgot to add.. =.,= ACT composite score is 34

oh PUAHAH nevermind.

CC= college confidential!

^Coll.Confidential-er. In the sense that you're freaking out with stats like those, which is very funny.

I got in with what I consider to be lower stats than yours in most areas, but as with all of the Ivies I think it comes down to whether you're a good match for the school (and if the adcom thinks so).

You're welcome, and good luck with college admissions!

In my opinions you'll be accepted to HYPSM: Harvard, Yale , Princeton, MIT, Stanford.

Stop worrying.

I know a kid who got into Columbia with a 2180 SAT score 110 points lower than yours and Average EC's.

UR STATS ARE AMAZING LOL!

O_______O WHAT?! REALLY?!

DOOD WOW. thanks so much. you guys really boosted up my confidence
i was really worried cause i was reading other people's "chances" posts and they have like 2300+..

oh man :) im sure my EC is still a bit lacking but at least now im not so freaking out-ish over my SAT scores anymore :D

thanks a bunch ! !

Hanajima Arashi: whoa! did you get into Columbia ?! man i wish were you;;

thanks again;

yo they all have 2300's cuz there CC"rs lol 2280 was the means you scored higher than 75% of the applicants. The other 25% who ahve 2280+ scores are usually all CC''rs lol

ooh fyi, just incase anyone gets confused... I accidentally used my sister's hellomiko account to reply to my thread..;;

so that person isnt some creepy poser. its me ..

You're fine. I'd say solid but not outstanding. I wouldn't bother getting a rec from the mayor unless she really knows you and can add something positive and new to your application. Recs from "important" people don't mean anything if they're generic.

Don't know what a lot of the acronyms stand for, but it's obvious you're a dedicated musician and have the credentials to back that up. I don't know if you'll be able to fit all your ECs on the app, so make sure to prioritize.
