- My App essay is going to be about me comparing myself to the philosophies and the main character of Anthem by Ayn Rand.

Colleges I am Applying to:

Hampshire College TOP CHOICE
St. John's College(Maryland) TOP CHOICE
Bennington College TOP CHOICE
Goucher College
Moravian College

Drew University
Susquehanna University
Catholic University of America
University of Maine at Farmington

I would really appreciate it if you chance me! :)

I wish I could help, but I’ve just never heard of any of those schools :(. Although, with your stats, I would recommend looking at Syracuse. You could definitely be a match for it. Good luck though :)

Nah, Syracuse is definitely not a match. Only 1% of the students who applied were accepted with my gpa :</p>

Thanks anyways! :)

try: Pennstate main campus. When you apply do main campus, main campus is amazing, and its harder to get into Penn state main campus then just Penn State itself. Penn State main campus loves IB kids, so your a shoe in there…

I honestly do not know about the other colleges/chances of you getting in…
but your spanish SAT II is great, and the fact that you did IB should give you an advantage at some schools.

good luck  sorry if this didnt help much.

Your test scores are consistently high; what happened with your GPA? What is your rank, more or less?

Have you considered Canadian schools? A predicted score in the low-mid thirties would get you into most arts programs here. UBC, UofT, Queens…

On a side note, ew, don’t write about Ayn Rand.

It would help if you were a legend.

Setgoals: Are you crazy? lol Penn State is impossible for me to get into(thanks to my GPA).

GreennBlue: I do not know what my class rank is, and i do not want to know because it is probably bad lol. Honestly, I do not find my GPA to be a precise representation of me. There are students at my school who have 90 averages(3.5 GPA UW), and yet don’t do any school work because they happened to have a bunch of teachers who give out easy A’s.

ATTENDANCE is one of the main reasons to why I have a horrible GPA.
Freshman yr= 26 days
Sophomore yr=38 days
Junior year= 59 days

I’m going to try and get perfect attendence in my senior year.

Christiansoldier: ■■■■■, that seriously made my day.

Please chance? :(

I think you might have some problems with Hampshire and Bennington, but you’ve probably got a decent shot at Goucher and St. John’s. UMaine at Farmington may be a bit of a stretch, but they place a lot of weight on ECs so you may be okay. I’m not sure about the rest, which is pathetic because I’m also planning on applying to Drew. I can assure you of this: if you work hard first semester your GPA will go up and that means that your chances at getting into the schools you’re applying to will go up. Then, right after the end of the first semester, you’ll be able to send in your applications with that higher GPA, at least if the colleges you’ll be applying to don’t have earlier deadlines than the end of your school’s first semester (and most colleges don’t).
