I know these GPA threads suck, but... plez help me

hi guys

I know it sucks to see threads like" i hate my low gpa of 4.5" but here i am, a girl with really low gpa…

so i go to a canadian school, with no ap/honour

took the hardest courses and gpa is around 3.7 ish for junior year

does penn look at grade 12 marks at all? or is grade 11 marks all they look at (just in terms of marks, i know they care about ECs too)

thanks!

12th grade marks are pretty much to see that you're still doing (fairly) well and not getting Ds and Fs. They're even less important if you apply ED, since Penn probably won't see them until after they make a decision. They might be a bit more important for RD, but I had a B on my mid-year report and was still accepted.

You were right, these threads really do suck.

maria sucks....daaaaaaaaaannnnnnn

Dongjieeeeeeeeeeeee

hajimmmmma!!!

dry hump the HELL out of that pillow

....

guys is 3.7 a no no for Penn, wharton? assume i have okish ECs and recs>?

thanks

its low for wharton

but if you really want to come, just apply.

If you have a good class rank, GPA doesn't matter. GPA is only important if there is no accompanying class rank.

class rank is 20/480

is that good?

thanks!

20/480 (top 4%) is good, although slightly below average. Penn's average class rank for the Class of 2011 was top 2%.
If your class rank is slightly below average though, you can always compensate with the SAT. For example, myself... I was top 3%, but my SAT was above the 75% mark (2300s). I'd say try and aim for that.
