Hey guys.
okay so on the common app when I'm stating my extracurriculars, should I bunch them together? for example, if i volunteer at 3 different organizations, should I place them all under one big category of "community service?" how does everyone's EC box look like? anyone have examples?

thanks!

also, how bored will an admission officer be when he/ she says basic school awards (student of month, honor roll, etc) as the only awards listed?

I would list these as three different things. Since you did service at three different organizations, the activities you did, hours you spent, and positions you held would all be different.

If those are the awards you have, put them down. They may not give your application a huge boost, but they’re still awards and you should still put them down.

i had a similar question to your first question. what if the hours aren’t many, though? i have 2 ‘teacher’s assistant’ type of community service, the first 30 hours & the second 70 hours, 2 different places, but both freshman year. should i separate them or group them together?
