but i forgot what school i applied too. i'm pretty sure it was kelley but is there anywhere to confirm this? there's nothing specific in my acceptance packet, but i do have this email in my inbox:

"Congratulations on your admission to IU! My name is Dan Gofman and I am a proud graduate of Indiana University, Kelley School of Business (MBA 2007, BS in Financing/Accounting 2006). After taking several introductory business courses during my freshman year, I knew that Kelley was the right fit for me. [......]

Now it's your turn, *******. No matter what your interest, you can pave your own path at IU with the guidance of some of the top professors and professionals. I hope you end up at IU and can pursue your dreams in the Kelley School of Business.

Best Regards,

Dan Goffman '06"

i'm guessing "I hope you end up at IU and can pursue your dreams in the Kelley School of Business." means that's what i applied to

Also, if you’ve already created an account at IU, you can go into Onestart and see what academic path they have you as.

To do this, log in to Onestart, then click on “go to student center.” From here, click on “My academics and grades,” and it will have your program listed in a blue box on the right hand side. If you haven’t been admitted to your school it will say “Pre-insert school name here” and then “pre-insert degree/major here.” For example, it said “pre-college of arts and sciences” “pre-english BA” when I was an incoming freshman. If you’re admitted to the school, then the “pre” prefixes won’t be there.

I don’t know but if it is that long you should be fine since the deadlines saturday, but if worst comes to worst you mail your deposit on saturday if you can’t do it online because it just has to be postmarked by may 1st

"You are currently not authorized to use this web site for your desired action. If you have recently created your IU computing accounts, please wait a full 48 hours before attempting to use this website.

If you would like to cancel your application, please click here.

If you have been admitted and would like to pay your enrollment deposit, please click here."

what i get when i click “Log in using your IU Computing Account”…look familiar at all?

Just to let you know, University Division is what IU classifies the people who are not a declared major or are not yet in a certain school. Your info says that you are trying to get into the business program but weren’t a direct-admit.

Mine says Univ Division Pre-Business too, but I did get into Kelley. I know that you remain as exploratory even if you were admitted to Kelley, I just dont know how/when that changes to officially being a business major,

snake134, Go to the FYE (First Year Experience) page and sign up for your freshmen orientation days. They are required, and you can register for your classes only after you have gone through orientation.

"You cannot be invited to New Student Orientation until you submit your $100 enrollment deposit. This deposit will be credited to your first tuition billing and alerts us to send you Orientation reservation details. Learn more here.

Details about the program, and making your reservation, will be sent to students via U.S. Mail as an “Invitation to New Student Orientation”. Once you are invited to the program, you will have access to the online reservation system. We will begin to mail invitations in late March and on an ongoing basis after that."

The key is that it will be mailed to you. The deposit doesn’t automatically throw out an invitation for orientation electronically–different systems that need more that a few hours to “talk” to one another.
