<p>I am not sure at which colleges to go to, i have been looking at a few, but want your opinions.
i have a 3.45 gpa, got 510 on reading, 660 on math and 640 on writing in my first sat, my school only offers HONORS courses , so ive been taking those since freshman year, and by the end of this year should have about 20 HONORS classes. i did basketball in 9th and 11th grade, about 3 clubs in between adn I am on my soccer team in the 12th grade. i live in nyc and want to go to college in the north east, within 4hrs of nyc. i am looking for a school that has enginnering and/or computer science majors.
this is my college list, however i need more safety schools, no SUNY schools.
safetes- ithaca, fiarifield
comfort- quinnipiac, syracuse(bc college counselor said kids frm my school do well in terms of getting in), umass-amherst,
reach- penn state- u park, university of delaware, northeastern, UPITT, UCONN</p>
<p>do you go to regis?</p>
<p>what is the difference between "reach" and "comfort"?</p>
<p>no i dont. i got to baruch college campus hs.</p>
<p>comfort is a school that matches your gpa and sat scores.
reach is a school that has avg sats and gpas that are higher than yours.</p>
<p>anyone with any help?</p>
<p>The term for a school that matches your GPA and SAT scores is 'match.'</p>
<p>anyone with ANY HELP!?</p>
<p>i think you have a good realistic list.</p>
<p>I would add Stevens Institute of Technology (NJ) to your list of schools. Also, if you don't mind going just a bit further south, you might consider American University in Washington, D.C.</p>
<p>Lastly, you should look into Clark University in Worcester, MA. They have a 3/2 engineering program agreement that allows you to take your first two years there, then go into engineering at Columbia University, WUSL, or WPI.</p>
<p>With all those honors classes, you might qualify for this program.</p>
<p>Good luck.</p>
<p>thansk a lot. I am not sure about Washington, DC though. Is it safe and nice there? Also, wouldn't Stevens Institute of Technology a reach? Any other schools?</p>
<p>I always liek Clark University but never considered it because on collegeboard it said it didnt have engineering. Cant trust anything.</p>
<p>I still want more colleges! I need more safeties and comforts.</p>
<p>I need this ASAP because I have a college office meeting tommorow.</p>
<p>Bump! Bump! Bump!</p>
