I legally changed my name before college

This year I graduated from high school with the name...let's say, Kate Jones.
I applied to college under this name. This name has appeared on all my official test documents like the SAT, SAT Subject test, transcripts, the TOEFL..etc.
However, about 2 days ago, I legally changed my name. and now this new name is on my passport and under all official country documents.
i've already been accepted to college under my old name and now i have a new one.
i'm a bit worried about going to the states and having to tell them about this...will the college still accept me? is there an admissions office i can go to over there to inform them of my name change?
i'm just a little worried here...

You need to contact your college/university now, and let them know about this. They will tell you what to do. You may need to have a new I-20 issued with your new name in order to get your student visa. Be prepared to send the college/university a copy of the official legal documents related to your name change.
