I like big schools and I cannot lie (but what are my chances?)

I’m a female senior with an approximate unweighted GPA of 3.6-.7/4.0, I have taken no AP classes (because they are not offered at my high school), have an interesting backstory which will definitely be included in the college application essays, and don’t have a lot of money to pay ridiculous amounts out of pocket.

I’m interested in pursuing a psychology major at either Temple, Drexel, or Penn State, however am very concerned upon the fact that I haven’t taken AP classes and whether or not my GPA will be good enough. I just took my first SAT in October because I was way to stressed out and busy to even think about studying for it in the spring of 2018, but I am pretty confident about my scores.

I don’t feel as confident that I will have enough of a portfolio to even get considered which is making me literally freak out. I am obsessed with the greek life but know how to balance partying with priorities, and I don’t think going to a smaller school will interest me at ALL.

Thank you for reading!

If your HS does not offer AP classes it is not an issue that you haven’t taken any. Admissions officers don’t expect students to take classes that are not given in their HS.

What did your SAT scores turn out to be? But your GPA looks great for Temple and Drexel and Penn State as psychology is more social sciences.
