I'm lost. I'll be going to Pitt in the fall as an undecided in the A&S school, and I still have no idea what I want to do.

My interests are as follows;

I like entrepreneurship and business. I don't think I'd really want to work IN a large corporate business, but I'd love to run one myself.

At the same time, I'm a very creative person and need to be building or making something.

How do some of you creative-oriented business majors deal with this? I feel like I need to do something where I'm actually making something, not just coming up with creative solutions.

Well, I am definitely in the same boat as you and I’ll tell you that marketing is about as creative as you can get in the business field. As far as doing things with your hands, take some art classes or get an art minor.

You could get into the business side of product design like LolyGAGHa said. That way you’ll be working with physical products and also incorporating your business interest. You know what I just thought of, you could do something like Billy Mays or George Foreman, they make millions being creative with their products and have built a huge business off of it.

That being said, I also am in the same boat as you. Well not exactly, I am doing business as well but unlike you my creative outlet is writing, more specifically creative writing like stories and poems. Now I don’t see any way to connect that to finance lol. But thats ok, its more of a hobby that I can do on my own time and I’ll be happy just doing finance.
