I like my high school, but it’s been a tough year since I switched into my school district right before freshman year. =/ I think sophomore year will be better, since I’ll know more people right off the bat.

High School is awesome. Mostly everybody is on the same level as you, if you’re friends with academically oriented people. It’s nice to be top of the pack. It’s relatively easy to get into the school of your choice if you’re dilligent enough. This is the only time in a serious academic’s life that you can “relax.”

My school has awesome resources (12-14 AP Classes offered yearly) and some great after-school stuff. Since most kids aren’t into leadership, it’s easy for me to be a player in the community (buff up on my app).

Overall, I really like my school. It’s large, but not too large. The teachers are challenging but also encouraging. I think it’s great prep for college.

I go to boarding school and have a love/hate relationship with it. I absolutely love my classes, I adore my teachers, I love my teams and coaches. I have trouble dealing with the amount of kids on coke and the stuck-up kids who think they own the world because their parents are richer than god - but that stuff exists at every private school, and at the very least, it’s entertaining.
Overall, as much as I complain about high school and can’t wait to get to college, I do love it.

People here are too moneyed for my taste, far too conservative, too bland (aka we only have white people and asians).

And I still don’t know a lot of people because of moving last year.

& people are like “we are sooooo from atlanta”, or “hhahaha poor black peoplez live there lol gangsta *****” when we live an hour away. As a person who lived in the midtown area her entire life until now, it gets quite annoying.

AND there’s nowhere to go.

Which will make me excited to leave.

AP classes do not make your school likable.

I hated freshman year cause I had no friends…

i hate my high school because my classes are lame and my teachers suck and it’s senior year I just want to get the **** out of here ! I used to like school a lot more during 9th and 10th grade. I don’t really have any negative feelings towards people at my school, mostly white/asian uppermiddle class kids.

I would definitely like high school more (and I wish I did) if I went to a better school… I attend a public school in a CT suburb, near NY. The student pop. is really diverse and only, like, 5% of kids are in H’s/AP’s. I kinda wish that I went to a more competitive and richer school. I feel that I’d be more successful in school because of better teachers and resources. My school is huge (over 2,000) and the majority of students are idiotic, obnoxious,**y or ****s… Ugh. It’s so hard to find people that I can relate to.

If I could go back in time to 8th grade, I would have chosen my local public school.
