I like too many things, is Architecture or Anthropology the right major?

I'm Jonathan, and am new to the site. I have taken college classes throughout high school and just graduated. My first semester as a college freshman is for Fall 2010. I'm going to a community College in florida (Valencia), and do not know what to major in.

I know that I will probably get an AA in Gen Studies, but I am unsure when I start my Bachelors. I love many things, especially anthropology and biology, but have this interest in architecture. I even find myself reading architecture magazines and blogs and find it so interesting. I can even see myself as an architect, however, I don't know if I'll be good at it.

I like to paint and draw in my spare time as a creative outlet, and I think architecture would be a great career for that. The thing is I have this strong drive for learning about anthropology, and the biological part of it. I can also see myself doing this career.

So my question is, should I major in anthropology for my bachelors, and continue with masters if i like it, or get an March if I don't like it and continue as an architecture major. Or should I just get a BDes in Arch?

Please give some insight

My 2 cents. Since you can become an architect with a M.ARCH after a bachelors in anything, you can go for the Anthropology or Biology as your 4 year degree. Take electives in art and architecture to see if your interest is kindled to continue. Going the Architecture path to start if you aren’t pretty sure it is for you may cause you to spend one or two years pursuing classes that you may not be able to get core credit for since they are so specific.

Thanks Lakemom, I never thought about it that way.

You are welcome. Good luck
