By architecture,I mean I'm presently an undergrad of non-arch,and i am gonna apply to MArch1 next yr. By Rome, i just mean i would love to get into an EUROPEAN firm in the future. but the fact is that i have to get my March1 degree in US. So, is there any advices on what kind of good arch schools should i put in my list?

(Yeah, you guys can tell from my CC profile. I am a brand-new freshman in this forum.)

if you would like to work in Europe, why don’t you get an architecture degree in Europe? There are some great schools there (ETH, AA, etc). Otherwise, there are plenty of US schools which offer study abroad programs in Rome.

ETH requires German language for MArch, right?

U of Cincinnati has co-operative opportunities in cities across Europe and Asia. This would give you an opportunity to actually work for a firm in your city of interest.

Yes, most of ETH’s courses are in German, though some are in English. Politechnico di Milano is also another school to consider.

What about arch program in VT? It’s appeared on DI’s rankings several times but looks like people don’t mention it that much.

Of course, VT, along with a dozen other arch. schools that haven’t been listed are top notch; what you really need to do is go through each school’s curriculum, see if they have studio options that appeal to you, visit the schools, talk to the professors, sit in on courses. It’s rather difficult to say which schools will most likely lead to a career in Europe (unless you went to a Euro school)

Thanks to all of you! And thank you soeinquatsch for telling what’s the first step i should take!
