I love Cornell

BUT

Can somebody tell me the cons of going to Cornell? Right now I'm stuck between Stanford SCEA and Cornell ED. Parents want me to do Cornell ED, while I am currently leaning a little torwards Stanford(for a new atmosphere, I'm from ny).

What should I be warned about, besides the competition.

nothin, its great school..amazing engineering program.. just cold, that is about it. You will work hard at either place and come out with a great degree from either place

weather and dumb jappy girls. in february, you will wish you were in cali.

I had to make the same decision last year. I choose Cornell because of the weather--missed the four seasons, and also because I wanted a challenge. Rampant grade inflation at other elite schools doesn't provide for that...

weather, heavily clothed women, competition

Eh, I can deal with all of these. By the way, does Cornell have any requirement for teacher recs? I know it takes the Common app, so does this mean I can submit a rec from any subject teacher from any year? For example, can I do two math teachers?

Yes you can. Mine wasn't very diverse, one math and one computer science teacher (engineering), but it all depends on what school you are applying to. I'd say two maths is alright only for Engineering, if you are doing CAS or CALS you may want to have a humanities or social science teacher in there along with a math.

Seconded on jappy *****es...

oh yeah, it's pretty out there in terms of location, but that's only a con for some. besides, there are so many ppl and so much to do on campus that it seems like most people don't notice.

perro, could you explain what you mean?

jap = jewish american princess. Mainly from the East coast, these girls favor Vuitton, Dior, Gucci, and anything else that advertises how much money they spent on it. Japs love Cornell.

i heard that it is easier to get into cornell, in comparison with itself, than it is to stay in and keep study. I think its just really hard to do well in Cornell, once your in. However, if something "new" matters, try Stanford. It is nice in Cali. weather wise.........sorrry that is kinda random
