I love Mr. Bush!

Beefs, maybe you would enjoy this quote in late 2003 when Bush was questioned by the media (even if they are, according to you, liberalist pig dogs).

Reporter: Mr. President, what are you going to do about all the infighting between the Shiites and Sunis?

Bush: Shiites and Sunis? I thought there were Muslims in Iraq.

Bush never ceases to amaze me. Only not in a good way.

quote.
Maybe I also never used that term at all?

All you liberals do is find ways to make fun of the President's speech. Keep working productively!
You love America. I am an American, and I love America, too. But do you, Sir, loving America, so love the countries under its military influence?
I'm assuming you're referring to Iraq. Iraq would fall to civil war if we left. It's crappy enough as it is with our presence -- imagine how much worse it would be if left to its own devices with Syria and Iran chomping at the bit to get a piece.
We left Afghanistan prematurely after intervening in the 80s... and look where that got us.
Do you love the ~85,000 Iraqi civilians killed since our occupation?
Where'd you get that number? Are you implying that American troops have massacred ~85k Iraqi civilians?
The 4,000 dead American soldiers forced to undergo multiple tours of duty not to protect their country which they have sworn to serve, but to serve the wallets of the Ruling Class?
I don't know what your background is but I'm pretty certain you don't speak for the troops. As a two-time Iraq vet, you sure as hell don't speak for me.
And the 150,000 American troops stationed in Iraq who have not yet died?
Do you know something I don't?
And what of the countries we chose not to interfere in? What of the Congo, in which over 5,000,000 people have during the past decade? Do you love them as well? Or do you love the petroleum which does not exist in sufficient abundance in Congo so as to solicit American aid?
Damned if you do, damned if you don't. I guess we were mistaken when we provided aid to Indonesia, Somalia, Haiti, etc. No oil there! Oopsies.
The petroleum, 70 barrels of which mysteriously goes missing from Iraq every day? The same petroleum whose price continues to skyrocket?
70 barrels? That's it?! I'm think it's a lot more than that. In fact, I'm sure of it. But maybe you should ask the insurgents and locals where that stuff goes. The infrastructure and security situation there doesn't exactly facilitate proper accounting.
lol he could at least be a little more subtle with his racist ethnocentrism
I cant believe people are dumb enough to even entertain that thought.
the thought that bush is racist? or the thought that he should be a little more subtle with it? :P

Bush is the master of the art of ********ting. Has anyone here seen 'George W. Bush: Fight to the Finish'? It's a program they sometimes rerun on FOX News. A true work of art. You should see the tangents that he and Laura run off with, it's clearly very well-planned.

Picture George, sleeves 3/4s rolled up, standing in a desert at sundown with the reporter and Laura. They've just transitioned from a screen showing George in Montana, horseback riding any ethic-looking global leader.

The topic up for discussion is international policy. Now, neither of these three Southern folk are too succinct or concise, but that just adds to the down-home appeal. In fact, not only does it add appeal, it allows for some serious carefully worded nonsense. These are the big dogs in ********ting.

They'll go on and on about some strand of disease in Sudan, not really getting at much of anything, then they'll talk about the Middle East, at which point, George will point out his true feelings regarding the Muslim people--

"We're going to eradicate radical Islam and remake the Muslim world."

It sounds bad out of context, but when you heard that soft, drawling Southern voice say it so eloquently while standing on the sand in the desert, it sounded like the perfect device to reinvigorate 'Us versus Them' mentality in the American people! I was actually able to use a very similar technique in an essay I had to write about patriotism.

You see, George W. Bush is actually a very clever guy. "Our children is learning," "Sunnis and Shiites? I thought there were muslims in Iraq," "I can press when there needs to be pressed; I can hold hands when there needs to be -- hold hands," et al. None of these mistakes happen on accident. He's an approachable character--the facade as a regular Southern man keeps his poll ratings above 20%.

I think Bush is the only president to have a movie made about his HYPOTHETICAL assassination. Other presidents have had attempts or have been killed.

"More and more our imports are coming from overseas."
-George W. Bush

"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we." —Bush Washington, D.C., Aug. 5, 2004

GOD BLESS AMERICA

Quote:

"The president is a good man; the fact that he messed up a necessary war does not make him a "bad" person."

I'm speechless . . .

Fact: Presidents who look like Taft are always terrible presidents.
Fact: Bush looks like Taft
Resolved: Bush is a terrible President

:D

Bush is fat.

very good,very strong.

Yeah, but its way too easy to make fun of his actual politics. (And it wasn't his speech I was making fun of, it was the fact he didn't know that Shiites and Sunis were sects of the religion Islam. But you are a conservative, so I guess I should have known that'd go over your head)

The war.

His inability to do anything PRODUCTIVE about illegal immigration.

His policies on abortion.

His policies on stem cell reasearch.

His inability to understand what america wants.

His falling poll numbers.

Need I go on...?

You're using those examples like 100 percent of America disagrees with Bush on those policies. I don't and I know plenty of people that don't either.

But the majority disagrees with him and isn't that all that matters?

Sorry no. Neither did the founding fathers. I trust their judgement.

So why aren't we b****** and moaning about the Democratic Congress? Last I checked, their numbers were LOWER than his!! Oh, and they aren't getting much done either...

What is democracy based on?

lol exactly. I love how liberals never bring up the faltering Liberal Congress that PROMISED CHANGE when they took over in the last congressional elections.

I'm not liberal, I'm definitely a strong conservative but answer my question.

My 39 year old sister-in-law is dying of Lou Gehrig's disease. She was diagnosed a few months ago and her physicians give her two, maybe three years. She and my brother have three children, aged 3 to 9. To put it mildly, it's a horrific disease and there is nothing that can be done. For the conservatives among you who are opposed to stem cell research, my reply is that I wonder how many of you would change your tune if this was happening to someone in your own families -- God forbid.

WOW, if you seriously think there aren't any conservatives who don't have family members suffering from diseases that could be cured by stem cell research, I'm sorry to break it to you.
