So would somebody please provide some facts.. stats or something that shows how often a raped female becomes pregnant? You all keep saying it, but nobody has yet shown that it happens REGULARLY.

here is what i think - women ovulate about one out of every 28 days. plus, the egg can live for a little while. also, the sperm can live for a while as well. so i suppose that conception can occur maybe four out of every twenty-eight days. so, a woman who is raped randomly has a four/twenty-eight chance of getting pregnant from a rape, assuming neither party has infertility problems, or the rapist wears a condom, or whatever. which reduces to one out of seven. that seems pretty regular to me.

If it is murder (which I don't think it is ESPECIALLY if done in the first trimester), then how can conservatives also support the death penalty? Is that not also murder?

The fact that you don't take orders from a 16 year old is good, but you still haven't reached the main point of my comment (the founding fathers were radical liberals in their own right, I'm not sure they would support a conservative like Bush, sorry to burst your bubble).

So do you think our founding fathers would also support the country they founded going to he** because we are allowing ILLEGAL mexicans to take over the whole country?????

I love those who feel we must be out of our minds to go against the Constitution and what the Founding Fathers thought when we talk about one thing. But in another issue, you have no problem doing away with it all.

PS-- I support the death penalty. Why? Done right it's a whole ton cheaper than letting them rot in prison!

what is so wrong with illegal immigrants? basically, they pay into social security, but they do not take out. and where do you think your orange juice comes from? it is not like americans are exactly lining up to become cherry pickers.

"In the course of my work, I believe I have reviewed every state and federal
study of the costs of the death penalty in the past 25 years. One element is common to all of these studies: They all concluded that the cost of the death penalty amounts to a net expense to the state and the taxpayers. Or to put it differently, the death penalty system is clearly more expensive than a system handling similar cases with a lesser punishment"

Second page, bottom paragraph. The death penalty is more expensive than life in prison.

Mike, I don't have to look at it to know. Now if you would reread my post where I said "done right" you'd know I'm not talking about how it's done now. Now it is significantly more expensive because they sit on Death Row for 40 years appealling every chance they get all courtesy of the government.

What's so wrong about illegeal immigrants? Let's think about this.. ILLEGAL comes to mind. And most don't pay into the social security, but they sure take money through trips to hospitals, etc. ILLEGAL is pretty simple.
