<p>Ok guys so I've been browsing CC for a while now and decided to ask y'all about my chances. I'll try to keep it brief.</p>

<p>I'm an Indian male applying from a public school in New Jersey. I'll be applying as an Environmental Science major (Environmental Biology at Columbia, Biology with minor in Earth and Environmental Science at NYU, etc).</p>

SAT I: 800 M / 800 W / 720 CR
SAT II: Biology 800
SAT II: Math IIC 800
SAT II: Chemistry 780
AP: Biology 5, Calculus AB 5, Chemistry 5, Computer Science A, English Lanuage 4, Environmental Science 4, Psychology 5, US History 4</p>

Note: I actually do dedicate a significant amount of time to every single one of my activities - except for MC, which is just for fun. And I've made significant impacts on my Forensics club and NHS.</p>

<p>excellent stats, you are ivy material, nobody can predict if you will get in once you start in the top tiers because everybody has stellar credentials, but NYU is a really good match, especially if you like it so much. Oh and Northeastern is a super safety for you (I wouldn't choose to go there I live close by, and its campus is just a little too urban party scene).</p>

<p>Your SAT I is great, and you have two 800s on SAT II.</p>

<p>You have a lot of leadership positions, etc.</p>

<p>I would do ED columbia if I were you and I would probably also expand my list to include Penn and Brown to hedge your bets...</p>
