UMich is the only school I haven't heard from yet, after being deferred. I think that if i don't get a reply from them by next week (April 7th), my chances of getting in are all but over.

It seems like most people who applied to UMich are more qualified than me. I only have a 2000 SAT and 3.9 W GPA. Most people who got in have SAT scores of over 2100! I really don't know if i can get in (LSA). I really really really want to get in as i've only been accepted into Penn State (sapphire program), Maryland and Rutgers. All these universities are hardly comparable to Michigan's standards.

Both of my sisters went to or are currently going to University of Michigan. I used to live in Michigan. I applied in October, received a letter requesting my grades in November, and haven't heard from them since. And then I noticed a month ago that they just received a new essay, which makes no sense because I had turned everything in in late October and the office confirmed it. So, that has delayed my decision big time.

CC Runner, at least you've been accepted to honors program elsewhere. Your stats are pretty good too so i think you should get in for sure. If they reject people like you, i'll have no hope at all!

also, i'm an international student living in NJ....i'm not sure that'll help :(

mightynick, transfer meant CC as in the site, college confidential, not as in CCrunner lol. CC members tend to have higher stats and are more highly accomplished, dare i say, than the avg population. .. soething like that

I also applied to Boston College and got rejected. I don't feel bad about it though, as i wouldn't have attended it anyway because of the exorbitant tuition fee.

my stays are pretty similar, except maybe the GPA

2000 SATs
3.7 UW
4.7 W
7 AP's
NO legacy

All of you definitely have a good chance...
so far i've been accepted to:
UMich
U of Maryland(scholars)
U of Delaware(honors)
Case Western Reserve U

totally rejected from cornell and waitlisted for WashU lol.
