I’m a sophomore in highschool. All my friends have been receiving emails from colleges and invitations. However, I haven’t received anything. I’m now getting worried , and I’ve been checking the mail, and my emails non-stop.
Don’t be scared be proactive. Sign up on the mailing lists of colleges you are interested in. Trust me, they’ll send you lots and lots of mail.
Most of the emails and snail mail high school students receive from colleges are just marketing. They don’t have much of an impact on admittance rates at those colleges.
So, don’t worry. You’re just not on the mailing lists yet. As soon as you start taking the college prep tests (PSAT, SAT, ACT) and check (or don’t uncheck) the right boxes, you’ll get your share of college junk mail.
