Hello. I have no idea what to do. I studied like a dog, and did fantastic on the test. However, I MISNUMBERED!!! one of my Free Response Essays, and also put the corresponding WRONG sticker on the front of the packet. I don’t want all of my hard work to be ruined because of this stupid little mistake - I was just concentrating so hard on the essays.

Can this be fixed? Will I get a 0 on the essay because of this? Please help me. My supposed - to - be post - AP happy weekend was ruined because of this. UGH!

Contact CollegeBoard. I’m not sure it can be fixed, but you won’t know until you talk to them.

hey, calm down xD. The proctor told me that it doesn’t matter what sticker you put on the front, as long as you numbered it right inside the book. Even so, they might figure out you numbered wrong and forgive you for it :)

but just in case, you should call CB to make sure. I’m sure they won’t fail you cuz of a misnumbering :)

goodluck!:P

I’m pretty sure he just said that he didn’t number it correctly inside the booklet.

CB isn’t stupid. This might delay your scores, but won’t do anything serious

Agreed with the above. The graders are high school and college teachers. I’m sure they’re at least aware of the other prompts. If they see a well developed essay, I think they would at least check if it was another prompt and forward it over to the appropriate graders. Call CB to be safe (i probably would out of paranoia if I was in your position) but you’ll be fine.

The graders are trained professionals, and while they are (supposedly) only trained to grade one of the essays, they’ll recognize if they have an essay that’s of a different number and they’ll give it to someone else to get it graded.

Your scores may be delayed but shouldn’t be impacted.
