I made a mistake writing my UC essay, help!

<p>I am applying to the UCs, I am a CA resident..anyways..</p>

<p>I wrote my personal statement, which I thought was my best piece of writing, and many of my teachers agreed.</p>

<p>Problem is, I wrote one big 1,000 word essay combining both prompts, transitioning from the first one into the second, and just found out today while applying that there are 2 separate boxes for each prompt.</p>

<p>Can I send in my full essay? Or should I butcher my essay in half?</p>

<p>Well, if there are two separate boxes, you are going to need to put something in both of them. Maybe splitting them is best. Perhaps you could leave your concluding sentence for the 1st prompt and your opening sentence for the 2nd as transitions so the two essays flow together.</p>
