I realize that some people won’t agree with my political beliefs, but please answer as if I wasn’t. I only posted 2 things on the page, nothing offensive. The college I’m looking into is said to be pretty conservative, but just making sure. Thank you.
Would you want to go to a college that will hold your political views against you?
No, but Oberlin probably won’t be a good fit for you.
Unless you posted something offensive, no. The odds are it wouldn’t matter even if you did: few colleges will be checking applicant social media platforms. And ironically the schools most likely to check are ones that would probably like your posts. The ultra liberal schools would be less likely to check on principle
Are there schools that are not ultra liberal?
-
It is unlikely that any college admissions officer will know the account exists.

As long as there is nothing offensive, they won’t care even if they see it. Colleges do accept Republicans.
@AI73 is that a joke or a serious question? There are lots of schools that are not ‘ultra liberal’.
Many schools have a young Republican or Democrat club so no, I don’t think it will hurt you.
Look at the twitter postings of the head of admissions for Cal Berkeley and I think it will answer your question.
Only if you posted something really, stupidly offensive.
“Are there schools that are not ultra liberal” - Pretty sure BYU isn’t “ultra liberal”. Liberty University. Oral Roberts. Southern Methodist. Southwestern Assemblies of God University. Colorado Christian. etc. Many, many others don’t fit this uninformed stereotype.
