I messed up grade 9, can I still get in?

I'm from Toronto, Canada and I really want to get into Harvard or some other top collages in the US. I just finished grade 9 but I messed up. I was taking 8 courses and I will probably get 4 90s, 3 80s and may be even 1 70s(for art, the marking is really strict, nobody gets 90s, not so many people get 80s). However,in Toronto, 80 or above is A, 70 or above is B, etc. Obviously I didn't do too well but I'm pretty sure my average will be at top 10% of my school(we don't rank but probably) (500+ students, public, pretty famous in Canada).
Also, I almost had no ECs in grade 9, and that's really sad.
I'm wondering if I work very hard next year, take the hardest courses, get all 90s( although it's almost impossible in my school); have many good extra-curricular activities, do I still have chance to get into top collages?

Students with a perfect 4.0 GPA and a 2400 SAT are sometimes rejected from Harvard. So, Harvard is a reach for every student. Currently there are over 4,000 US colleges and with your stats – even messing up for 9th grade – you will be able to get in somewhere. It may not be Harvard, but it could be a great college nonetheless. So, inhale. Exhale. Breathe. And do your best in 10th grade. Best of luck to you.
thnx
