So I heard it is a common mistake but in step two, my dad put in my mom and his income data. I guess that was suppose to be my field but I do'nt work or have any tax returns are whatever. So i went back and edited it put $0 in those spots.

Now USC has already recived my info from the first fafsa I sent. How does fafsa now notify them and let them know it was error or whatever. Becuase I need to file these taxes soon. This whole fafsa thing is crazy to me. I should have just paid someone.

Also myu local safety school SDSU has awarded me finaid. based on my orignal fafsa. now with the changes, I should recive more though.

Next time the schools upload FAFSA (they just do it periodically) they will get your corrected information and should adjust your financial aid.

There is no reason to pay someone to do FAFSA. In fact the financial aid officers who post on CC say that the FAFSAs submitted through paid sites often do not get processed properly. Just make sure you read the questions and instructions properly. For instance questions about the student are 'you' questions (because it is the student who is applying) - "what is your income" "benefits you received". Questions about parents will say 'your parents', "what are are your parent's assets', "What did your father earn". As long as you read the questions properly you should be able to complete it.
