I messed up will this affect my chances -- Please help!

I’m a senior, and I’ve always gotten 93~95 on my math grades, but I seriously messed up on one test two days ago so my math grade became a 89… This is terrible and it’s a disaster… I’m really upset right now because I’m worried this will greatly impact(negatively, of course…)my college applications. I have a 780 on the math 2, which covers the math material I’m taking right now. Will my math 2 score be able to compensate for the terrible score? Or have I put myself in an unfixable situation?

Oh and my other grades are okay… they’re in the 94~96s. it’s only this math score that’s in the stupid 80s

A classmate of my daughter’s was bullied into suicide. That’s a “disaster.”

A math grade of 89 is NOT a disaster.

I think a little perspective might be in order.

You are putting some unrealistic pressure on yourself. Put things into the proper perspective as suggested with the above example. This is not a big deal and will have no effect on your college chances.
