Just thought I’d update this thread to let everyone know I got accepted to Point Park and to Washington College with an invitation to interview for the 3k Deans scholarship on April 7th + travel voucher. Not sure if I’ll be able to do that as it’s short notice and I haven’t gotten FA yet (for either place) but I’m feeling better about the whole process. 3 more to go!
That’s great!
Wonderful news! Maybe you can arrange to schedule a Zoom or Skype interview.
Fantastic news!!!
Congratulations!
Congrats!!! Keep the updates coming!
Woo hoo! Congratulations!
i got on the priority waitlist for CMU!!! im so excited and i thought i would get a straight out rejection! im so pleased!!!
Congratulations!
Is CMU affordable for you if you get off the waitlist? Are they one of the schools where a Letter of Continued Interest will help? Hopefully, others will know the answer to that last one.
It is affordable according to NPC and I’m going to call Monday and ask about all that, maybe do an interview bc I’m not sure.
Awesome! Congrats again!
FA is out and the estimated offer is wonderful, so crossing my fingers i get off the waitlist, officially accepted priority waitlist. also got a very generous merit scholarship from washington college that was not shown in my original email but came in my packet, FA is not yet out though.
Have you emailed your regional admissions officer and CC’s the Dean of Admissions that, if accepted, you would definitely attend and it is your first choice school? Go ahead and do that right now (if it is true!)
the priority waitlist is only for kids who will attend if accepted. they indicated on their site they didnt want any more materials and would accept a LOCI after may 1 so i’m not sure if i should do that now or wait.
If they don’t want a LOCI till May First, just send an Email to your admissions rep and say you’re disappointed you were not admitted right away since CMU is your first choice but you want to thank him/her for the opportunity to be on the Priority Waitlist and your LOCI is ready to go but you’ll wait till May 1st as requested.
^This way they know you’re interested and read the instructions :p…
i asked thru the chat service if i could do an interview or anything else to show interest and stated i knew i couldnt do a loci until may first and they said no, follow the instructions strictly. i also apparently don’t have an admissions rep, they said they dont recruit by region and do not assign admissions reps.
