I might sound lazy but.....

Im currently in my second year of CC and was planning to transfer next spring but my plans had changed after i got 2Ws and 1F my second sem of my first year. Then i went on to have 1D and 1F in my summer class. This semester i messed up again and took a hybrid class i could not keep up with got 1F now i think i might fail my 2 classes left. I was thinking of Withdrawing but that will leave me with 4Ws. My friend told me to leave the school and go to a different school on a clean slate, pretending i have never taken classes at any college. What should i do, are there any actions i could face that might ruin my chances of transfering to any UC or CalState school?, please help!!!!!

This has been discussed endlessly. Not turning in all your transcripts is cheating, plain and simple. You can try to get away with it, but if you get caught, you're dead in the water.

Try retaking the classes you failed for a better grade. Withdraw from the ones you're failing now- you're better off with some Ws than with Fs. You're really going to need to step if up if you want to get into any UC or Cal State school. Just start working as hard as you can next semester. The UCs and Cal State schools understand that people don't always start off too well, so they look at your grade trend. Get as many As as possible from here on out. If you really want to transfer don't let anything stop you.

Even if you transfer schools you MUST report EVERYTHING that you've ever done. Failure to do so will be counted as fraudulent and not only will your app be canceled, but you will be banned from every applying again.

Don't be stupid. All schools need to do is search your name and social security # and you'll probably be barred from ever applying again.

pulling out with a few W's is better than getting F's. Sure itll hurt your chances at getting into a good grad school but what can you do.....

see if your school offers retaking courses for a better grade. it may cover up those F's.

and pulling off a move like thatll get you banned from the UCs FOREVER

see if you can get "academic renewal" or "academic forgiveness" for one of those semesters (or possibly both depending on how your school deals with it). As long as you can show that those semesters aren't reflective of your true academic potential, most CC's are willing to erase those grades from your transcript.

Did you get any decent grades while attending that community college?

Fortunately for us, in calculating your transfer-GPA the UC calculates only the most recent grade for a repeated class. The original grade is disregarded. Sweet, I know. Take them over and get A's. You'll almost be glad you didn't get a C the first time...

Don't believe me?
